The Company filed a petition for provisional liquidation in Bermuda, and also filed a petition for winding up proceedings in the Cayman Islands, on 17 May 2017. Eleanor Fisher of Kalo and John McKenna of FRSL were appointed as joint provisional liquidators by way of order of the Supreme Court of Bermuda, dated 18 May 2017. The provisional liquidation in Bermuda was permanently stayed as of 23 April 2018 by way of an order of the Bermuda Court dated 29 March 2018.
Eleanor Fisher of Kalo and John McKenna of FRSL were subsequently appointed as joint official liquidators by way of an order of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands dated 15 February 2018.
On 6 November 2019, Iain Gow and Elizabeth Mackay were appointed as successor joint official liquidators and on 19 September 2020 Iain Gow resigned from his position, leaving Elizabeth Mackay as the sole official liquidator appointed over the Company.
On 15 July 2022, Kalo (Cayman) Limited was acquired by Interpath Advisory. The above noted acquisition has no effect on the administration of the liquidation proceedings and the estate has not borne any costs of the acquisition.
